The Football Federation of the Region of Murcia has donated today to the City of San Javier six defibrillators for the fields and pavilions where football is practiced in the municipality through a collaboration agreement signed this morning by Mayor José Miguel Luengo and the President of the Federation, José Miguel Monje, in the City of San Javier.
José Miguel Luengo thanked the commitment to safety in the sports practice of the Federation and the donation to the City of San Javier of the six defibrillators that will cover Pitín and Carrión fields, as well as the pavilions where football is played in El Mirador, Polideportivo, pavilion instituto, and pavilion of La Manga.
Luengo, who was accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Carlos Albaladejo, and the mayor of Security, Maria Teresa Foncuberta, stressed that with this new addition "San Javier is a municipality more cardioprotected."
The mayor recalled the recent acquisition of 12 devices by the City of San Javier that already has a total of 49 defibrillators that serve buildings and municipal facilities as well as specific events through the municipal Civil Protection service.
He also pointed out that it is the Civil Protection technicians of San Javier who are in charge of providing the necessary training for the correct use of DESA equipment.
The Federation of Soccer of the Region of Murcia organizes training courses for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and prevention of sudden death through the use of defibrillator by those who have already spent a thousand collegiate football and futsal, which will now follow coaches and managers, among others.
José Miguel Monje said that this delivery, along with that of other municipalities in the Region, is part of a partnership agreement between the Federation and Philips, which will benefit nearly 80,000 athletes from 17 federations in the Region of Murcia, With the creation of cardioprotected environments throughout the Autonomous Community "which will allow footballers to practice their favorite sport in cardioprotected facilities."
