José Miguel Luengo transferred two motions of the plenary in defense of the judicial party of San Javier and the improvement of the functioning of the Civil Registry, among other claims
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the councilors of Security, Teresa Foncuberta, and Equality, Estíbaliz Masegosa met this morning in Murcia with the president of TSJ Murcia, Miguel Pascual del Riquelme who presented the two motions that have been Approved unanimously in the municipal plenary concerning the situation of the Courts of San Javier and other claims on the improvement thereof.
José Miguel Luengo transferred to the president of the TSJ in Murcia the express request of the municipal Plenary to maintain the Court of Gender Violence in the Judicial Party of San Javier and its opposition to the comarcalización of the same that would transfer him to Cartagena.
This is reflected in the motion approved last December, which reinforced an earlier agreement, dated October 2015, in which the Plenary ruled on the maintenance of the headquarters of the judicial party of San Javier, which has seven Judges of First Instance and Instruction, which also requested to elevate to the category of magistrates to the judges that serve in the Courts.
At the end of the meeting, the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo reported that along with the transfer of the two motions, also led the president of the TSJ other demands such as the need to improve the functioning of the Civil Registry "which monopolizes multiple complaints from citizens , Which I have transferred to the president of the TSJ, "the specialization of existing courts, civil and criminal, and the creation of a new Court for San Javier.
Luengo added that the Government team will continue to claim these improvements that will contribute to "streamlining and improving Justice in the judicial party of San Javier, which serves a high population, with a great deal of responsibility and a great complexity of issues, with A fixed population of 111,850 inhabitants that in summer reaches 600,000, and in a special way the permanence of the Court of Gender Violence ", for which it announced a next visit to the Ministry of Justice.
