To publicize the daily work of the associations of the municipality and to promote the association is the main objective of the Fair of Associations that next Sunday 9 of April will celebrate its 6th edition in the Barnuevo esplanade, of Santiago de la Ribera, with the participation of 40 associations.
The Councilor for Volunteering and Social Participation Catalina Pérez who presented the event this morning together with the coordinator of the council Natalia Conesa, and Nieves Juan of the association EducaYa, who collaborates in the organization, highlighted "the great variety of participating associations that cover Health, social, sporting, humanitarian, cultural, and festive areas among others. "
The different participating associations will show their work in the stands of the Fair informing the interested public from 11:00 to 20:30 in an open space, next to the beach Barnuevo, in which there will be animation throughout the day with various performances And a playground with games and workshops.
"It is a matter of thanking and giving to know the enormous work that each day of the year these associations play with which they enrich the social fabric of the municipality," said Catalina Pérez.
Adding people and generating new associations is also the objective of this event that is part of the annual program that the Hotel de Asociaciones offers its "guests", recalled Natalia Conesa.
The Fair includes an extensive program of entertainment that will happen throughout the day with musical performances, theater, dance, talks, a workshop of headdresses, and zumba among other activities.
In addition, several of the associations will offer tastings as a snack with a drink and fruit gift at the APPAM booth, tea and sweets with the association Marwa and the Aid to the Sahrawi people, biscuit with the housewives of Santiago de la Ribera and Homemade pizza and cake in the TE-AYUDA association.
