San Javier Civil Protection maintains four surveillance and rescue posts on beaches throughout Holy Week.
The beaches with surveillance in these days are those of Barnuevo and Castillico, in Santiago de la Ribera, and those of Mistral, in the Mar Menor, and Bank of Tabal, in the Mediterranean, in the Mango of the Mar Menor.
Surveillance posts operate 100% from Saturday 8 until Monday, April 17, with two first responders and a coordinator in each position that are operational from 10:00 to 19:00.
The positions have the usual equipment that includes a defibrillator.
Also during these days the rescue boat "Albufera" is alert, next to two service ambulances, one in La Manga del Mar Menor and one in the continental zone.
The Councilor for Security Teresa Foncuberta stressed "the commitment to safety and prevention of the City of San Javier which is the municipality of the Region with a greater deployment on beaches during Holy Week."
