The Councilor of Sports of San Javier Carlos Albaladejo attended today, along with his counterpart of Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, and the president of the Athletics Club La Manga, Martin Fuentes to the delivery of the 5,000 euros collected in the last edition of the Cross of Cabo de Palos to five NGOs in an event held in the Faculty of Business Sciences of the UPCT.
Albaladejo was in charge of delivering a check of 1,000 euros to Juana Romero, president of Afemar, entity that develops its work in San Javier and region, and that in this edition has been one of the addressees of the 5,000 euros that were collected in the VIII Cross Cabo de Palos, along with Asido Cartagena, Spanish Association against Cancer, Little Sisters of the Poor and Fedaes (Proeycto Stop-Fa).
The Councilor for Sports of San Javier Carlos Albaladejo thanked the acceptance by the Club Athletics La Manga of his proposal to include among the beneficiary entities Afemar "for the excellent work they develop in San Javier and throughout the region, with people with Mental illness".
Albaladejo also congratulated the Club Athletics La Manga for organizing a test "so complicated, in a location and dates no less complicated" since it is held in the height of summer.
The mayor of Sports praised the attractiveness of both athletes and sponsors for an event that highlighted his spirit of solidarity.
At the same event was presented the poster of the IX edition of Cross Cabo de Palos to be held on 29 July and in the coming days will open the registration period.
