The Councilor for Public Services María Dolores Ruiz, Urban Planning Councilor Antonio Luengo and the ESAMUR Exploitation Manager, Manuel Abellán, visited today one of the emergency actions that have been carried out as a result of the effects of the floods last month December in the municipality and that have consisted in the substitution of the tension line that gives supply to the Water Treatment Plant of San Javier.
Maria Dolores Ruiz explained that the high voltage line, dating from 1987, had to be replaced, both in conductors and in supports, along a kilometer that runs along the path of the Vinco, due to serious damage Which suffered during the storm.
The new line meets all the homologous requirements including those of protection of the bird fauna, informed Ruiz.
Antonio Luengo explained that this action has cost € 43,200 financed by municipal funds but will be included in emergency actions for co-financing up to 50%, according to the agreement of the Council of Ministers on emergency actions in the area affected by the Floods.
Luengo recalled other emergency actions undertaken from the City Council such as "the sanitation network in La Manga that was also affected by the storm and others in which work is continuing to ensure that our municipality fully recovers the situation prior to the flood" .
