About 500 athletes representing different Spanish universities have played this week at the sports facilities of San Javier University Championships of Volleyball and Basketball, organized by the Catholic University San Antonio de Murcia,
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, Councilor of Festejos, Pedro López, along with the director general of Sports of the UCAM, Pablo Rosique and Jose Campos, representative of the Superior Council of Sports today presented the prizes at the closing ceremony Held in the "Prince Felipe" pavilion of the municipal sports center.
In the Championship of Spain University of Volleyball the UCAM was imposed so much in feminine category as masculine.
In the female category the University of Valencia and the University of Barcelona occupied the second and third positions.
In masculine the second classified by the University of Valladolid, with two teams in third position of the University of Granada and of Valencia.
In men's basketball the UCAM finished in first position, followed by the University of Seville in second position, and a third double with the teams of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and the University of Valencia.
In the female category she won the University of Valencia, followed by the University of the Basque Country, and a third position shared by UCAM and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
