The Festival of Amateur Theater "Francisco Rubio" of San Javier begins tomorrow Tuesday May 9 in the cultural center "Prince of Asturias", of Santiago de la Ribera with four consecutive nights of representations to contest and a fifth for the closure and delivery of Prizes in which the group of the ESAD will represent "Federico between the teeth".
The Festival begins tomorrow with "Malsueño", a work that tells the experience of five strangers caught in the elevator of a bank, Juan Luis Mora interpreted by the Cultural Association "Mar Teatro", Santomera.
On Wednesday, May 10, the group Theater on board, Cartagena presents "Black on white" a story about racism by Meggy Vanuls.
La Barraca de Federico, from San Pedro del Pinatar will perform on Thursday, May 11 with "Mujeres de luna y sangre", based on texts by Federico García Lorca, directed by Enrique Fuster.
The latest work will be presented with Taules Teatre, from Alicante that will present the classic Terencio "El Eunuco", in the successful and fun version of Jordi Sánchez and Pep Antón Gómez, who could see the latest edition of the Festival of Theater, Music And Danza de San Javier, starring Pepón Nieto.
On the closing night, on Saturday, May 13, a group of students of the School of Dramatic Art of Murcia, will present "Federico between teeth" a dramaturgy of teachers Luisma Soriano and Dolores Galindo on García Lorca's poetry with the Which have won several international awards.
At the end of the ESAD representation, prizes will be awarded in which the best work will be distinguished, with a prize of 2,000 euros;
Best director, with 800 euros;
And mentions to the best actors protagonists and of distribution, masculine and feminine.
The jury will be composed of representatives of ESAD, as well as Murcia to Escena, the Department of Culture and the theater group San Javier.
All performances will begin at 9:00 pm at the cultural center "Príncipe de Asturias", in Santiago de la Ribera.
The access will be free until completing capacity although previously the invitations must be withdrawn in the City council or at box office.
The Festival of Amateur Theater of San Javier "Francisco Rubio" bears the name of the first director of the Amateur Theater Contest, which was the origin of what is 48 years later known as the International Festival of Theater, Music and Dance of San Javier, which does not Has stopped celebrating not a single year since, being one of the veteran festivals of the Region of Murcia and Spain that now pays homage to its origins.
