About 500 young people from 3 ° and 4 ° ESO of the institutes of the municipality participated today in the 16th edition of the Games of the Mar Menor that has been developed all morning on the beach of Santiago de la Ribera with a circuit of nautical sports And sand.
The students are rotating through the different stations that include dragon boat, sail, paddle, crossfit, aerojump, zumba, and other sports in their version of sand, such as beach volleyball, beach soccer, as well as handball, baseball, or rugby, among others.
The activity is carried out with the collaboration of the students in practices of the Superior Formative Cycle of Physical and Sports Activities of the IES "Mar Menor", that exercise of monitors.
Councilor for Sports, Carlos Albaladejo noted the success of this initiative that has been celebrated for 16 years with the aim of promoting and disseminating all kinds of sports among our youth.
Albaladejo recalled that the activity was also carried out with the students of 1st and 2nd ESO, with a day that was held last December in the municipal sports center.
Rocío Esteban, IES Physical Education teacher "Mar Menor" highlighted the opportunity for TAFAD students to be able to do their internships in this type of events through the City Council of San Javier, as well as the opportunity to coexist The students of the different institutes in a sporting and playful day.
