The architects will be the protagonists of the celebration of World Environment Day in San Javier, with a school competition of murals, and a cycle of conferences called "Las Encañizados de San Javier and the Fruits of the Sea", which will be presented on 5 June, together with a model that will allow a better understanding of this traditional fishing method of Arab origin still in use in the municipality.
Councilor María Dolores Ruiz presented this morning the program of activities of the Department of Environment that starts this weekend with the smallest of the Child Care Centers of Santiago de la Ribera and El Mirador with a cleaning and Recycling on Barnuevo beach, and a new edition of "In your park or mine" dedicated to the Environment, in Almansa Park, San Javier, on Saturday, June 3.
María Dolores Martínez reported that on June 5, World Environment Day, at 12:00 a presentation will be presented in the hall of the City Council a cycle of conferences that will be developed throughout the month of June dedicated to the Encañizados de San Javier, in which historians, biologists and fishermen will recreate the six centuries that this type of artisanal fishing fulfills.
At the end of the presentation will be awarded the prizes of murals competition on Encañizadas in which students from secondary school in the municipality have participated.
The same day there will be an open day in the Municipal Ecopark San Javier with gifts to take advantage of that day to take their waste, and in the afternoon in the Plaza of Spain the RafaPuede Foundation will offer the workshop "Take care of your planet with the Rule Of the 3 Erres ", at 18:30.
The director general of the Mar Menor, Antonio Luengo will share with the students of the CEIP "Joaquín Carrión" his works and video on the Mar Menor in an exhibition that will be inaugurated on June 6 at 19:30 in the library of San Javier.
