A total of 1,200 children between 11 and 12 years of the entire Region of Murcia will participate tomorrow Saturday June 3 in the Day of Minibasket to be held from 09:30 to 18:30 at the San Javier Municipal Sports Center.
Councilor for Sports, Carlos Albaladejo, Vice-President of the Federation of Basketball of the Region of Murcia, Miguel Velasco and the host club president Marme, Antonio Pérez presented this morning "the most important event of the year for basketball base in the Region "Which will attract more than 5,000 people to the town, among companions and the public.
All the participating teams will play two matches of the total of 80 that will be played continuously throughout the day simultaneously on seven tracks, said Antonio Pérez president of the Marme Basketball Club, which has mobilized 100 volunteers among players, their families and Trainers to prepare a picnic for the participants and energize the day with parallel activities.
Councilor for Sports, Carlos Albaladejo thanked the regional basketball federation "that has re-trusted the City of San Javier and his entire team of Sports to celebrate the Mini Day, which for 12 years have been hosting the municipal facilities."
Albaladejo also thanked the work of Club Marme that together with the City Council organizes the sporting event.
Miguel Velasco, vice president of the Basketball Federation of the Region of Murcia, was convinced of the success of the day in San Javier "where we feel at home" after celebrating in its facilities the last 12 editions of the 19 that have been accomplished.
Velasco thanked the municipal and Club Marme collaboration.
Antonio Perez recalled that it is a day of play and coexistence in which there will be no competition and in which all players and teams will receive an identical trophy.
He also recalled that the Club will have a booth to spread and collaborate with the work of the RafaPuede Foundation.
