The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the manager of the marina Tomás Maestre, of La Manga del Mar Menor, Luis Manzano, presented today at the City Hall the celebration of the "Marina Day" that will take place on Saturday, June 10 with a day Open doors and free activities on the port facilities.
Luis Manzano explained that this is an international event with which marinas want to bring citizenship that are not closed spaces, but are open facilities in which all the public, and not only the owners of boats, can enjoy Its wide range of activities.
To this end, the Puerto Menor concession company has organized a program of activities from 9:30 am with nautical activities such as boat trips, and sailing and diving baptisms, totally free.
In the middle of the morning there will be a tasting with sardines, ham and Estrella de Levante beer.
In addition, the II Port Route Route is celebrated with the participation of 12 restaurants.
The Symphonic Band of San Javier will close the activities with a concert about 19:00, in the port.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo encouraged the neighbors to take advantage of the opportunity to know the largest port in Spain with 1,700 mooring points.
Luengo thanked the concessionaire company of the exploitation the invitation in this sense taking advantage of the Marina Day, and recalled the good functioning of the financial agreement between both institutions for the maintenance of the Estacio bridge.
