The director general of the Mar Menor, Antonio Luengo, pointed out the importance of the involvement of the whole society in the recovery of the Mar Menor during the presentation of the work "Todos con el Mar Menor" Primary of the CEIP "Joaquín Carrión", of San Javier, in an act that took place yesterday afternoon in the municipal library of San Javier.
Antonio Luengo attended the presentation with Councilor for Environment Antonio Martínez who congratulated teachers and students for the work on the Mar Menor, with an exhibition in the library that has been included in the program developed by the City of San Javier with reason Of the Environment Day.
The children give voice to a video in which they present the Mar Menor and explain the causes and consequences of the "illness" that affects him to end a positive message about the recovery of the original Mar Menor and an invitation to individual commitment to that task .
The work, which has had the collaboration of the Department of Environment, City of San Javier, is a multidisciplinary project in which families have also been involved and in which students have approached the Mar Menor by means of plastic And poetry, using the Manrrubia method.
They have also made trips to the Mar Menor, and have made an interesting compilation of family photos on the lagoon.
Murals, newsrooms, and many other activities have allowed children between 8 and 9 years of age to get to know the Mar Menor more thoroughly.
The director general of the Mar Menor, Antonio Luengo stressed the importance of this type of didactic work on the Mar Menor and congratulated the teachers for the initiative, as well as the students and families, who attended the event, for their involvement.
Luengo said that "beyond the evident improvement of the Mar Menor there is still much work to be done and jobs like this also contribute because the recovery of the Mar Menor is a thing of all."
