All Armies of the Spanish Armed Forces will be present at the 14th National Triathlon Military Championship to be held in Santiago de la Ribera on June 13 with a total of 102 participants, under the organization of the Royal Guard, commissioned by the Council Superior of Physical Education and Sports of the Armed Forces, and with the collaboration of the City council of San Javier and the Federation of Triathlon of the Region of Murcia.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, Captain Jaime de las Heras, head of the Support Company of the Royal Guard of the House of His Majesty the King and the president of the Murcian Federation of Triathlon, Diego Calvo presented today in the San Javier City Council the sports event that will gather in the municipality to the Army, Air Force, Navy, Royal Guard and Emergency Military Unit.
The triathlon will have a transition area on the Barnuevo esplanade, where the 1,500-meter swim test will be held, to continue with the 40-kilometer bike that will run in two laps along Coronel López Peña Street, Airport Road to Roundabout and the interior of the AGA.
The race, of 10 kilometers will run by the ride Columbus and the interior of the military enclosure where it will have the goal.
Participants will meet on June 12 for a recognition of the circuit and on the 13th at 10:00 will be released the male category and at 10:05 for the female category, until 14:00 when it is expected to end .
The closing and awards ceremony will be held on June 14 at 09:30.
