The Manga del Mar Menor will host the Mar Menor Eco Tour Festival from June 9 to 11 with a wide range of active tourism and ecotourism activities that were presented yesterday afternoon at the San Javier Library by Environment Councilor Antonio Martínez and the Director of Posidonia Turismo, Anabel Olivares, in an event attended by the director general of the Mar Menor, Antonio Luengo.
For the general director, Antonio Luengo "it is fundamental to bet on this type of activities that contribute to show all the possibilities offered by the Mar Menor."
Luengo highlighted "the environmental education effort behind a fun and educational program."
The Councilor for the Environment, Antonio Martínez invited neighbors and visitors to enjoy the festive bridge in La Manga and get to know the Mar Menor from another perspective.
Anabel Olivares, head of Posidonia Turismo, organizer of the event, which has had the collaboration of the City of San Javier, explained that on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will have an extensive program that includes nautical activities such as Kayak, Paddle Surf, Windsurfing and snorkeling, along sea routes such as Treasures of the Isla Grosa and Travesías 5 islands Mar Menor.
The program of activities, which will have its epicenter next to the Municipal Sports Center of San Javier, in La Manga, km, 12.5, includes beach cinema, concerts, photography contest and exhibition, and others as a hot air balloon that will run the Saturday afternoon as an elevator to enjoy the panoramic view of the Mar Menor.
There will also be an Eco fair, with booths in La Manga del Mar Menor and a representative in Santiago de la Ribera aimed at promoting and selling eco products and activities.
In this sense also have been scheduled environmental talks and workshops on the Mar Menor, gymkanas of environment, and cleaning beaches and seabed.
There will also be room for relaxation with Tai-Chi and Nordik Walk.
Anabel Olivares highlighted the variety of the offer for all ages that will be active during the holiday bridge in the Region of Murcia with which it claims to claim the environment and natural and cultural heritage of La Manga del Mar Menor.
