The University of Murcia (UMU) celebrates the 1st International Conference of Research Groups in Sports Science next Monday, June 12, at the San Javier campus.

The conference will analyze the challenges and opportunities of sport sciences and physical exercise in the context of today's globalized society.

The opening ceremony, at 13:30 hours in the hall of degrees of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, will be chaired by the Vice-rector of Research of the UMU, Antonio Juan Garcia, and the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo.

Also taking part in the inauguration are the general directors of the Autonomous Community Juan Monzó and Alonso Gómez, as well as the dean of the Faculty, Arturo Díaz.
