The Councilor for Culture, David Martinez today presented the events with which in the coming days are closed the municipal workshops of Dance, Theater and Painting, in which there are enrolled a total of 235 students.
Martinez pointed out the importance of these workshops in the work of cultural impulse we are giving to our municipality and its ability to generate enthusiasm for the different arts.
The mayor of Culture thanked the teachers of the three workshops, who participated in the presentation, Remedios Ruiz, Painting;
Judith Arteaga, Theater, and María Dolores Martínez, Danza, and invited the public to attend the various events in which the students of the workshops will expose the learning acquired throughout the year.
The first in the calendar will be the theater workshop that will premiere next Sunday 18 June at the "Prince of Asturias" center, at 19:00, "El flautista de Hamelin", a montage directed by Professor Judith Arteaga in the Which involve students in the workshops for children and youth.
The Theater workshop dismissed the course with 90 students ranging from 3 to 90 years.
On July 7 will be presented a macro exhibition of paintings of the students of the workshop led by Remedios Ruiz that this year have worked the art of false engraving.
The exhibit that can be seen at the San Javier Museum will include a room in which a large part of the 90 students enrolled, from 3 to 88 years old, will show their work done with different techniques.
Finally, on July 9, the dance workshop will be presented with its traditional Dance Festival, in the municipal auditorium at 10:00 pm.
With a first part with numbers of different genres and a second part in which will present the ballet "The Nutcracker", said the teacher María Dolores Martínez who underlined the classic basis that characterizes the workshop in which there are enrolled 90 dancers ranging from 4 at 20 years of age.
