The Los Coyotes team, from the Santa Ana de Abanilla Residence, today proclaimed the winner of the Pro-Mental Health Beach Soccer Cup, which was held once again at El Pescador beach in Santiago de la Ribera, with Afemar as host association and Collaboration of the Department of Sports of the City of San Javier.
The Councilor for Sports, Estíbaliz Masegosa and vice president of AFEMAR, José Luis Martínez were in charge of delivering the Cup trophies, which had as finalist the team Pirates of the association Afesmo, Molina de Segura.
In total eight teams of associations of people with mental illnesses from Murcia, Cartagena, Molina de Segura, Abanilla, from the Northwest region, and from Afemar participated.
With the sea at two meters from the pitch and a hose to refresh the sand the eight teams has fought the heat today from 10:30 am when they started the matches played by a team of five people and with seven minutes.
The Councilor for Sports Estíbaliz Masegosa congratulated the winners of the Cup and welcomed all participants to this event that brings together sport and mental health and that we are happy to host in our municipality in collaboration with Afemar.
The vice-president of the Association of Relatives and People with Mental Illness of the Mar Menor, José Luis Martínez also reminded that the day also serves as coexistence and leisure with a day at the beach for users of the different associations belonging to the Federation, FEAFES, Of all the Region of Murcia.
