The City Council of San Javier will officially recognize the work carried out under extreme conditions by municipal workers and volunteers, companies, entities and people outside the Town Hall during the floods suffered on December 18 by an episode of torrential rains that forced to decree The "Orange Alert" giving rise to the activation of the Municipal Emergency Plan.
Distinctions in the form of individual and collective Merit Medals, individual Distinguished Service diplomas, as well as companies and institutions linked or not to the City Hall will be delivered in an institutional event that will take place on Sunday, June 18 at 12: 00h in the hall of plenary of the City council of San Javier.
The acknowledgments, which will receive dozens of people, will be delivered according to the Regulation of the Municipal Association of Civil Protection Volunteers launched by the mayor in the proposal he presented at the last plenary session, backed by unanimity of all municipal political groups, Recognition and gratitude to all municipal employees for the services rendered "in those delicate moments".
Among the acknowledgments are volunteers from the Municipal Association of San Javier, companies that contributed their excavators, Civil Protection groups that lent their help as Santomera, Fortuna, and Molina de Segura, the General Air Academy, the Fire Extinguishing Service AENA-San Javier Airport, and the company specialized in rescue, SGS-Spain.
Students and teachers will also receive a distinction from the Emergency, Civil Protection and Diving cycles of the "Hésperides" Vocational Training Center in Cartagena, citizens who individually contributed to rescue work, as well as the company EULEN, Beach Surveillance and Rescue Service in San Javier, the ambulance company, AMBUMAR, the Fire and Rescue Extinction Consortium, and FCC.
Other local companies such as the Centro Civico Almansa Park, El Palacio Cafeteria, Cepsa San Javier gas station, la Caixa, José Díaz García, SA, Excavations and Romanian Transport, "Salvador Fructuoso e hijos SL", Luido, The Government Delegation in the Region of Murcia and the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies of the Region of Murcia, whose holder José Ramón Carrasco, will attend the event, will also receive their diplomas of thanks for the services provided.
All of them are recognized for their delivery particularly in the first 24 hours without rest in extreme situations and danger contributing to the rescue of people, avoiding major misfortunes and the rapid recovery of normality during the following days in which the Plan continued to activate Of Municipal Emergencies.
