Jazz San Javier full of soul and funk the Spanish square with the band Funkystep & The Sey Sisters
The first of the four concerts of the San Javier Jazz Festival scheduled outside of Almansa Park auditorium will be offered by the soul, groove and funk band "Funkystep & The Sey Sisters" in the Plaza de España in San Javier.
The band, with a spectacular direct, is formed by six musicians and three singers, although originally it was one, Edna Sey, to which they were added their sisters Kathy and Yolanda, which allowed the band to make a spectacle more centered in the voice .
The Catalan band, formed in 2006 to pay tribute to the great artists of black music, arrives at Jazz San Javier with their first and only disc with their own songs "A Matter of Funk" (RGB suports 2016), an eclectic album , Very careful with the production of black music specialists Mike Mariconda and Marc Tena, and letters with messages full of positivism that speak of the force of music and the importance of living the moment and enjoying life.
His first disc of original songs distills influences of jazz, funk, r & b, soul, and gospel without forgetting the African root of the black music that pays tribute and that is in the base of the repertoire of this band that is characterized by its energetic Direct.
The band consists of Gillem Plana on guitar;
Guillem Soler on keyboards;
Pol Patronus on the trumpet;
Albert Bartolome in the saxophone;
Enric Puigdesens on bass and David Viñolas on drums.
