Jazz San Javier bids its 20th edition with the pianist and great French composer Michel Legrand, one of the most outstanding European musicians in the last century.

Michel Legrand has won three Oscars, 13 times in which he was nominated, for the main theme of "The Thomas Crown", for the music of "Summer of 42" and for the best soundtrack of "Yentl".
Among his best-known themes are the classic European music film "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg", or "The Ladies of Rochefort".
The five-time Grammy Award winner has a long career as a jazz composer and pianist since recording his album "Legrand Jazz" (1945) with such glories as Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Bill Evans.
His creative torrent has also allowed him to create songs for stars like Charles Aznavour, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Maurice Chevalier, and opera greats like Jessye Norman, Kiri Te Kanawa and Natalie Dessay.
His uncountable career also includes music for numerous television series, as well as more recently the music for the ballet "Liliom" by John Neumeier, in which he fuses classical music and jazz, for the Hamburg Ballet.
