Volunteer vacationers and tourists will participate next Saturday, August 19, at the 3rd ECO ENSENADA DEL ESPARTO in La Manga.
The day will be held next to Puerto Escondido, on the Cornisa del Estacio (southern area of ​​the Ensenada).
It is a recreational and educational day designed for families, holidaymakers ... that seeks to promote awareness and encourage active participation in the environment in marine environments (beaches, rocks, seabed ...).
The SGS Special and Underwater Operations Unit will hold a media exhibition at 11:00 a.m.
A heavy-duty off-road vehicle with a rapid deployment pollution control barrier, hydrocarbon collection means, and marine pollutant collection elements will be available.
There will also be a heavy intervention vehicle, prepared to handle chemical spills and incidents with flammable materials.
At 10:45 p.m., an expert on pollution incident management at sea, from an advanced command post deployed in the exhibition area, will offer a talk on good practices and pollution management.
There will also be another talk that will raise awareness and inform about oceanic Posidonia at 11:45 a.m.
The day will begin with a pilates session on the beach at 9:15.
Volunteer groups and delivery of materials will take place at 10:30 a.m.
The beginning of the cleaning of rocks, beaches and seabed will be at 12:00 and the collection of waste and heavy at 14:00.
It will be concluded with a participation diploma and a * barbecue for all participating volunteers
