The reality is introduced in the performance of "Danzad Damn", a reality show that reproduces the strenuous dance contests by couples that were organized in the era of the Great Depression, in the United States where he won the most resisting taking a Cash prize
In "Damn Danzad", the actors face each contest to a real contest leaving the skin literally, changing partners in each role and without knowing, until the last moment, who will win the competition that night.
The montage is a free version of Sindey Pollack's film "Danzad, danzad Malditos" which in turn adapted the novel by Horace Mcoy "Maybe they do not kill the horses", signed by Felix Estaire and directed by Alberto Velasco.
The work, which received the Max Prize for the revelation show last year, transcends conventional theater and becomes a scenic experiment that introduces reality without it being an improvisation.
Throughout the competition, the eleven participants will have to overcome in direct tests of chance, loyalty, resistance, and to test their physical and mental limits so as not to be eliminated and to be able to continue in the work, in front of the attentive public eye , The presence of a master of ceremonies and a mysterious singer.
The assembly, which was reprogrammed by the Spanish Theater in its 2016-2017 season with sold-out tickets for all functions, has a rich choreography that adds the sand, sweat and tears of the actors-contestants, which together with the lighting And the costumes create a dusty and decadent environment that helps to knock the spectator away while attending an atypical spectacle that honors those who stay on the road without being able to reach their dream.
The assembly has a voiceover of Carlos Hipólito and the interpretations of Guillermo Barrientos, Carmen del Conte, Karmen Garay, José Luis Ferrer, Alberto Frías, Rubén Frías, David Sánchez Calvo, Ignacio Mateos, Nuria López, Sara Parbole, Txabi Pérez, Rulo Pardo, Sam Slade, Ana Telenti and Verónica Rondsa.
