Members of the municipal corporation and workers of the City Council of San Javier today expressed their rejection of gender violence with a minute of silence at the door of the town hall building in memory of 20-year-old Rosa Maria SP murdered yesterday in Canteras for her ex-partner to whom the victim had denounced by harassment an hour before.
The Councilor for Women and Iguadad, Estíbaliz Masegosa stressed the importance of intervening in the prevention of this type of violence among young people "since as has been demonstrated in this case in which the victim was 20 years old and the murderer 22, violence gender is more and more between very young people. "
Masegosa also stressed the importance of increasing the protection of victims.
The minute of silence closed with an ovation of those present, among whom also was a staff of the Center for Attention to Victims of Gender Violence, San Javier.
