The president of the Friends of Museums Association, Marcos David Gracia accompanied by the brand new delegate of the association in the municipality of San Javier, José María Bautista, delivered yesterday to the mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo a medal with which he Romero of the Year during the Pilgrimage of San Blas, which was recently found on a trail of the area where it was sold for one euro.
Marcos David Gracia explained that after discovering in a trace that the medal credited to the Rosemary of the Year, title that is given during the celebration of San Blas to a person outstanding for its support to the Fiesta, decided to acquire it and to give it to the City council of San Javier by to consider that it was the most appropriate place to return to.
The medal is not nominative nor dated, although its design reveals that it is the oldest, said José María Bautista, historian of Santiago de la Ribera, who premiered as a delegate of the Friends of Museums Association in his area, and that in the same act delivered to the mayor of the book "The Aviation and the Mar Menor", written by Lieutenant Colonel Pablo Meroño.
