The City Council of San Javier will continue to collaborate with the charity "El Nińito Jesús" dedicated to promoting social inclusion and helping people without resources in the municipality.
The mayor, José Miguel Luengo and the president of the entity, María Jesús Gallego have signed the renewal of an agreement that will involve the municipal contribution of 4,000 euros to the association that currently supports 120 families.
The Association, which was born after a personal initiative to help people in need on the part of its president María Jesús Gallego, was officialized three years ago and currently has 50 volunteers who are in charge of meeting the demands of help ranging from school textbooks , food, accommodation, receipts and other expenses of the domestic sphere.
"The little Jesus" also has companies that donate food that they distribute on the same day, due to lack of a warehouse, among people in need.
The mayor thanked the work that develops the association and the social commitment of its members who deserve a municipal aid that contributes to facilitate their work throughout the year.
