The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo accompanied the General Director of Highways José Antonio Fernández Lladó on a visit to the works carried out by the road maintenance service on the road linking Pozo Aledo with La Puebla, next to the bridge underpass of the motorway of the Mar Menor, with the aim of avoiding the accumulation of rainwater that flooded the area.
The Director General of Roads Antonio Fernández Lladó explained that the works carried out at that point consisted of milling the firm and restoring it with a new layer of agglomerate, so that the slope and drainage was adequate for the volume of water that can receive in future rains.
The works are in addition to those carried out at two other points on the same road through which a daily average of 2,500 vehicles circulates and which have meant a regional government investment of more than 36,000 euros, with the aim of improving the road safety of users, explained the Regional Roads Officer.
The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo thanked the commitment of the regional government with the repair and improvement of the deficiencies detected in the municipality after the floods last year as is the case of this area so busy that adds to other similar interventions that improve the safety on our tracks.
