The municipal library of San Javier is again among the top ten municipal libraries of Spain in the awards of the XVIII Animation Campaign to the Reading María Moliner of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, FEMP and the Coca Cola Foundation.
The library of San Javier, which has received a prize of 1,700 euros for the purchase of books, was selected among the 300 best of the 604 presented this year, taking one of only three special mentions that award these awards in the category of localities between 20,001 and 50,000 inhabitants.
The Councilor for Culture David Martinez stressed the importance of this type of recognition that value the work done in our libraries, and the effort of the City of San Javier through the Department of Culture to continue betting on a living library to promote the reading and culture among all sectors of the population.
The libraries of San Javier have since 2010 in the list of the 10 municipal libraries best considered in this national contest getting the first prize in 2012.
