The students of the first two courses that have been taught in San Javier through the agreement signed between the City Council and the INCYDE Foundation, which groups the Chambers of Commerce of Spain, have today collected their diplomas, in an event held in the hall of plenary sessions of the City Council, after finalizing its programs on "Sustainable Tourism", which had 16 students and "Diagnosis and action plans for the improvement of the competitiveness of commerce" that counted on 26 others.
The Mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo accompanied by the Director General of the INCYDE Foundation, Javier Collado, the Project Director, José María Párraga and the Local Development Councilor, Antonio Martínez was in charge of delivering the diplomas to the students in most are active traders and entrepreneurs of the municipality who have received the attention, both collective and personalized, from specialists in various fields such as administration, image, marketing or internet presence, among others.
The closing ceremony of these first two courses included the exhibition of two of the projects worked during the last weeks as the one of Jose Manuel Mondéjar, who undertook a florist business with 23 years in 2013 for which the course has been an important impulse thanks to the personalized tutoring that has received for the opening of an establishment in San Javier, another in Well Aledo and the sale by Internet.
José A. Rebolledo presented his business plan to start a Vegan Lodge that he conceived as a "boutique" hotel complex with bioclimatic and ecological requirements aimed at a very specific sector, for which the assistance received in the course to prune was decisive the elaboration of a financial plan and other business keys unknown to this specialist in the Environment.
Mayor José Miguel Luengo congratulated all the students, who were predominantly women, for their efforts to improve their business and continue to generate wealth in the municipality, and stressed the usefulness of these courses that offer individualized attention to each case.
Luengo recalled that these courses that represent an investment effort of the City Council that finances 20 percent of the total cost, are part of a broader strategy to boost economic activity and generate employment in the municipality that began with "a tax reform aimed at trade which has served as an example for other municipalities. "
The new General Plan that extends the industrial zones in the municipality and the arrival of European funds through the DUSI of San Javier and La Manga that makes possible new infrastructures together with the Business Center of Santiago de la Ribera, whose works will be tendered in 2018, "are a compendium that will allow us to continue to lead the way in job creation, as in the last two years in which 450 people found work in our municipality."
Javier Collado, CEO of INCYDE reminded the students that from now on they are part of the great family of the Foundation with which they can continue counting on their improvement plans.
Collado said that San Javier has been "one of the most active cities we have worked with" and stressed the decision of the City to implement these programs in his municipality, "so that serves as an example in other areas of Spain."
The agreement between the City Council and the INCYDE Foundation that groups the Chambers of Commerce of Spain, will involve the total investment of 400,000 euros that will be used in the development during two years of eight programs of tutored help to existing companies for the improvement of their competitiveness and the start-up of new businesses.
The next courses to be taught are a Digital Marketing, directed to the small business, which begins on November 13 and another Social Media Networker that will begin on November 27.
