The City Council of San Javier has joined the program "Network of schools EducaenEco", promoted by Ecoembes, with the aim of promoting the recycling of day-to-day educational centers in the municipality involving the entire educational community.
The Councilor for Public Services María Dolores Ruiz, who presented the program yesterday at CEIP El Recuerdo, explained that it is about involving students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the centers, who will be offered training and materials, such as litter bins and blue, provided by Ecoembes, which have already been distributed to place in corridors, dining rooms and patios.
The campaign includes the support of environmental educators who will provide training to the entire educational community on the role of each to achieve a more sustainable school so that teachers, cleaners, staff and kitchen staff will also receive guidance on how to integrate waste separation into their daily tasks.
The "Network of Educational Colleges" is complemented with activities adapted to the school curriculum that reinforce the habit of recycling among Primary students and value their environmental value.
In addition, an Ecoembes educator will periodically visit schools throughout the year to supervise and support the development of the project.
Once the program is completed, the centers will receive a diploma and a seal that certifies the commitment of the educational community to recycling and care for the environment.
