The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo highlighted the important work being carried out by the RafaPuede Foundation during the signing of a collaboration agreement by which the City Council provides a 2000 euro grant to the aforementioned association whose main objective is to promote autonomy of people with disabilities through research and technological means.
The RafaPuede Foundation is committed to technology as demonstrated in the SuperGiz Workshops, promoted in Madrid where all the parties involved participate in the design of prostheses for children with hand amputation, using 3D printing.
It also develops workshops open to the public throughout the year at its headquarters in San Javier, and integrative actions such as "inclusive recreations" in the centers of the area.
The mayor also signed the renewal of the collaboration agreement that the City Council has with Famdif-Cocemfe regarding accessibility.
Carmen Gil, president of the Federation of Murcia Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disability signed the agreement that includes a municipal contribution of 2500 euros and which aims to the technical collaboration of the aforementioned association in all issues related to accessibility in the municipality.
