A 92-year-old man retrieves an envelope with a thousand euros he had lost in the Paseo Colon de Santiago de la Ribera, thanks to a woman who found him while walking, handed him over to the Local Police, who was finally able to locate the owner and return him the money.
The money was in an envelope of the Bank of Sabadell as explained by the lady who found it, in the call made to 112 to communicate the finding, on January 9 at 1:00 p.m.
The lady waited with the on the arrival of the agents who found that it was 1000 euros in different bills.
The police went to the Banco Sabadell office, on Sandoval Avenue, where the bank's management checked the cash outflows that morning and could identify a 92-year-old customer who had withdrawn the same amount of money.
Once identified, the owner of the envelope could not be located until the next day at his home by the police officers to whom he explained that once the money was withdrawn he put the envelope in his pocket and went home on his bicycle. the Paseo Colon, where he must have fallen to the ground.
The man was clearly relieved after having spent "a bad night", after noticing the loss, he said to the agents who offered him some advice for later occasions, such as not withdrawing that amount at one time and that if he has it what to do, to do it accompanied by another person and keep it in a safe place.
