The director-manager of the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), Veronica Lopez, the mayor of San Javier, Jose Miguel Luengo and the councilor of Social Services, Estibaliza Masegosa attended today the food that has been held at the Center for the Elderly of San Javier in which tribute has been paid to the 24 members of the Participation Boards that have existed in the Center since 1985.
The head of IMAS, Veronica Lopez stressed the importance of this type of acts of coexistence and the value that the boards of participation have in the Center to achieve the goal of enriching the free time available to older people through different activities that they keep them active.
Mayor José Miguel Luengo thanked the Regional Administration for its support and involvement in the San Javier Center, under IMAS, "which is an icon for San Javier due to its long history of dynamism and social participation".
After the meal attended by more than 150 users of the Center, the tribute was celebrated to all the people that from the participation meetings have promoted the activity that characterizes the Center of San Javier since the last 33 years.
