San Javier presented today in Fitur his campaign "San Javier, destination of experiences" in which we wanted to highlight the characteristics of the municipality that encourage visitors an active holiday with a program that can include from water sports or golf to cultural tourism and sustainable tourism as explained by Mayor José Miguel Luengo during the presentation that was accompanied by the screening of several promotional videos and a successful tasting of sweet and doe deer pastries and Mar Menor prawns.
The mayor of San Javier enumerated the different possibilities with which the visitor can create his own program of experiences with special attention to sustainable tourism or ecotourism that is intended to promote valued the enchained, with the recovery of the Ventorrillo, the beach of La Hita, the diving in Grosa Island or the restoration of the wind and salt mills declared of Cultural Interest, as well as a walk in the northern area of ​​La Manga of ornithological interest, among other initiatives.
The mayor also referred to other milestones of marked tourist character that are celebrated throughout the year in the municipality as this year's celebration of an international air show to mark the 75th anniversary of the AGA headquarters of the Eagle Acrobatic Patrol for which the influx of thousands of people is expected as the last occasion in which the municipality hosted an exhibition of the best acrobatic patrols in the world.
Cultural tourism has been very present in Fitur with the participation of Culture Councilman David Martinez who presented the International Jazz Festival, which celebrates its 21st edition and the veteran International Festival of Theater, Music and Dance that will celebrate its 49th anniversary.
Martinez highlighted the commitment to culture of the municipality, both in summer that is completed with two months of top-level international performances and at other times of the year with unique initiatives such as "Don Juan Tenorio Dream and reality in the cemetery of San Javier "
The presentation of San Javier in Fitur was accompanied by promotional videos of La Manga del Mar Menor, Santiago de la Ribera and a third that summarizes the intense cultural, social and festive activity of the municipality as a tourist attraction.
The gastronomy was once again represented by the Cierva cake, which again triumphed among the public visiting the Murcia stand, which could also be surprised with some Mar Menor prawns made of delicious chocolate.
