The idea of ​​introducing golf in the schools of San Javier, promoted by AMPROGOLF (Murcian Association for the Promotion of Golf), is now a reality and begins its third week of practical sessions at the Diego Torné Golf School in La Serena Golf .
After having completed two weeks of practical sessions, in which part of the more than 230 children participating in this initiative, have acquired the basic notions about putt and short game, this week, the students of the first schools to enjoy of these days of initiation, you will learn how to hit the ball with the woods (long game) and execute blows from the bunker.
These practical sessions are completed with an informative session for parents, in which they transfer all the content to be developed in the practices carried out by their children, in addition to the infinite benefits that golf brings to the education in values ​​of children.
In these sessions we have seen the enormous interest that this initiative and sport have aroused among parents, since many of them did not know all the positive effects that golf has for the better growth and personal development of children, making very high expectations about the possibilities of turning golf into a reference sport in our community, one of the objectives of this association.
As a culmination to these days of initiation, and once the practical sessions are completed, an informative session has been programmed for the children, to be held in each of the participating schools, and in which they will have an exclusive focus on the principles and values sports, and that are highly educational and applicable to any order of life.
According to Juan García Cascales, president of AMPROGOLF, seeing how children enjoy and have fun learning how to practice golf produces enormous satisfaction, and compensates for all the effort that has been made to take the children from San Javier to the Golf School and introduce them to This sport, with a very large and varied offer in our Region, mainly in the Mar Menor region.
And it is not easy to carry out this initiative, which is free for schools and families, and is funded with the funds that AMPROGOLF is trying to obtain from various sources, and that its president trusts to seek to ensure that these days of initiation can celebrate in the coming years, and thus continue giving the opportunity to more children to know this sport and the principles and values ​​that make up its essence and sportsmanship.
