The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, received a group of students and professors from Croatia, Lithuania and Bulgaria who are participating in the Erasmus + program, "We All Art. Art and Health", together with students and professors of the IES "Ruiz de Alda", from San Javier that leads the project through its Bachelor of Arts.
The international group of students and teachers will meet next Saturday a week of work in San Javier where the project that will last two years with visits to the participating countries has begun, explained professor Enrique Veganzones, editor of the project, who accompanied the group in his visit to the Town Hall together with the director of the IES "Ruiz de Alda", Juan Manuel Sánchez.
Promoting health and well-being in schools is the main objective of this work that includes transforming them through artistic actions in the search for healthier environments.
The project also includes the development of a series of materials and protocols that can help other centers in the European environment when it comes to addressing issues related to the welfare of their educational community.
The mayor, who exchanged gifts with the representatives of the participating countries, welcomed the students he invited to enjoy what the environment offers inviting them to return, during the reception in which the Councilor for Education was also present Catalina Pérez.
José Miguel Luengo highlighted the importance of this type of exchange of knowledge, experiences and cultures through the Erasmus + programs and congratulated those responsible for the IES "Ruiz de Alda" for their initiative and their experience in this type of European programs.
