The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo and the Councilor for Sports, Estíbaliz Masegosa met with the young local motorcyclist of 17 years, Adrián Cases, who after having achieved the Spanish Championship Supermoto 85, in 2014, is still preparing with the goal of "reaching the top".
During the meeting, which took place in the City of San Javier, the young motorcyclist explained how it was a minibike that his aunt gave him what awoke in him the passion for the bike, which made his parents took him to a school where He made great progress that led him to win a championship in Spain.
That first triumph was followed by several injuries that already seems to be forgotten by a team that has allowed him to continue running in a sport "where you need a lot of money to be able to continue", acknowledged Adrián Cases who is now preparing thoroughly for the Championship of Spain of 600 with a Yamaha R6, while it looks for sponsors that facilitate him to continue obtaining triumphs.
Mayor José Miguel Luengo congratulated Adrián for his achievements and effort and highlighted the importance of young athletes of high level in San Javier taking the name of our municipality throughout Spain.
The mayor reminded Adrián of the municipal assistance from which he can benefit as an elite athlete, through the call for these local athletes has launched the Department of Sports in a pioneering manner.
