The hall of the City Council hosted last weekend the conference "New realities in the socio-educational field" that brought together more than a hundred teachers, educators, educators and social workers, convened by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports , the Center for Teachers and Resources of the Region of Murcia and the City Council of San Javier.
The Days that were inaugurated by the general director of Attention to the Diversity and Educational Quality, Esperanza Moreno and by the Councilor of Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa, were held for the second consecutive year in San Javier, with the aim of creating a space for reflection interprofessional in the face of the new challenges faced by professionals related to childhood and adolescence.
The Councilor for Social Services, Estibalia Masegosa recalled, precisely, the condition of the municipality of San Javier as "Child Friendly City" declared by UNICEF, "which entails the commitment to work to ensure well-being in childhood and adolescence" and placed the collaboration of the City of San Javier with these days "that deepen the attention to the youngest."
The Days, which lasted during the afternoon of Friday and Saturday morning, addressed different topics such as the prevention of suicide in adolescents or new forms of addiction among young people such as gambling and gambling addiction to sports betting.
They also talked about emotional intelligence, toxic relationships in adolescence, networking, and in a general way, about a model of socio-community care and prevention program.
