The Minister of Finance, Andrés Carrillo, the Mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo and the Councilor for Public Services, María Dolores Ruiz visited today the renovation works of the Esperanto Park, in San Javier, which are carried out under the Plan de Works and Services 2017.
The Works and Services Plan promoted by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration will involve a total investment of 365,972.47 euros, of which 210,749 are contributed by the regional Administration and the rest by the City Council.
Along with the renovation works of the Esperanto Park, the plan includes a total of 16 paving and replacement actions for urban services, in the streets of San Javier, Santiago de la Ribera, El Mirador, La Manga del Mar Menor and EuroRoda.
The works, which are in the execution phase and that affect more than 26,000 square meters, will be completed on April 15 next.
The Esperanto Park, located on San Luis Street, in San Javier, which was in a state of deterioration, is undergoing an integral renovation for which the land has been leveled with new pavement, creating different zones, with a children's playground. games, and another biosaludable, with trees, banks, litter bins and new lighting, between paths and parterres that will be covered with artificial turf.
The actions included in the POS 2017 affect the road next to the walk of Atalayón, Beniel streets, Rufino García Quesada, Ruperto Chapín (No. 1 to 14), Camilo Alonso and Esperanto plaza, the service road on Avenida Pinatar (Macodesa -Banco Santander), Calle Torrelodones and Camino Sj-77, in the towns of San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera.
In El Mirador, acts are performed in the streets of Spain, Laureate of Our Lady of Our Lady of Carmen, Virgen del Rosario, El Peal and Calle de la Lealtad.
In addition to the EuroRoda roundabout, there will also be a Nueva Hacienda development, and "Q" to "R" polygons.
To the mentioned works the work of improvement of mobility in Gran Vía de La Manga is added with a walk of about 650 meters between the roundabout of the Tomás Maestre port and the Estacio bridge.
The works, which have just been awarded and have a deadline of three months will involve an investment of 199,856.49 euros that are financed through the Regional Action Plan for the Promotion of Works and Municipal Competition Services, PARDOS 2016. They consist of a walk of 650 meters with a paved walkway of three meters wide and a bike lane two meters wide marked.
The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo thanked the investment effort of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia through these plans of works for municipalities of less than 50,000 inhabitants, "that in San Javier we will dedicate entirely to continue advancing in the paving and replacement of urban services of our streets, as we have done with the surplus of the last years ".
The Minister of Finance, Andrés Carrillo announced that the 2018 Works and Services Plan that has been provided with a biennial character will provide San Javier with a total investment of 512,600 euros in the years 2018 and 2019. Andrés Carrillo indicated that "the Government Regional has a clearly municipal vocation and actively collaborates so that the municipalities of the Region can carry out projects that without this support would be very difficult to carry out and that have a positive impact on 550,000 inhabitants of the Region ".
