Spring begins in the library of San Javier a new program that lasts until the end of May, which highlights the celebration of the Day of the Book, with thematic parties that will take place in Santiago de la Ribera, Roda, El Mirador, La Manga of the Mar Menor and San Javier, between April 14 and 28.
The new program, which was presented this morning by Culture Councilor David Martínez and library coordinator Toni Díaz, includes more than 30 diverse activities, with special attention to talks and lectures, a film and literature series, bilingual storytelling, presentations of books, recital of poetry, and as novelties "Readings to pass the drink" and an exit to the Romea Theater of Murcia to see "A room of your own", on May 31.
The talks, with a varied theme, will focus on Bioethics with Dr. Luis Miguel Pastor, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, OCD, with the psychologist Rosa Lafuente, "El poder anticancer", with the specialist in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Juan Serrano, and the celebrities Stradivarius, with the author of the book of the same title Fan J. Marber, in an appointment that will have the collaboration of the Conservatory that will contribute the sound of the violin.
The literary film cycle will begin on April 21, and on alternate Saturdays it will screen "Truman Capote", "Factotum", "On the Road", "Kafka, the hidden truth" and "The book editor".
There will be presentations of books such as the American film expert Antonio San Martín, dedicated to "Fred Astaire", and a poetry and piano recital "En clave de verso", which can be heard on the Barnuevo esplanade, on March 31.
One of the novelties has been called "Readings to pass the drink" with which it is intended to bring books and reading to pubs and drinking places where a fund of novels will be left to open with concerts, music recitals, monologues and other events with which to announce that the site has a fund of books for free use.
In addition, the library, which maintains its usual activities that are held throughout the year as the bibliohospital, the cycle "Tell us your experience", reading and writing clubs or book markets, among others, has included an outlet for this occasion see theater.
It will be on May 31 at the Romea theater in Murcia, to see "A room of your own" an essay written by the writer Virginia Woolf about women and literature interpreted by the actress Clara Sanchis.

The cost of the entrance and bus, subsidized by the Department of Culture, will be 12 euros.
The councilman of Culture, David Martinez invited all the residents of the municipality to "let themselves be loved by spring in the library" and enjoy the different appointments included in the program designed for all that consolidates the library as a center of cultural reference in the town.
