A total of 35 associations of the municipality will participate in the VII Fair of Associations 2018 to be held on Sunday March 25 in the Barnuevo esplanade, Santiago de la Ribera from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Councilor for Volunteering and Social Participation, Catalina Perez presented this morning at the City of San Javier the new edition of the Fair that aims to promote a meeting between associations and project their work towards citizenship.
The mayor was accompanied by the coordinator of the Hotel of Associations and the Bank of Time, Natalia Conesa, who highlighted the wide program of activities to revitalize the day prepared by the associations themselves with exhibitions, performances, exhibitions and talks that will be happening as Throughout the day there will also be a children's area with workshops and games for the little ones.
The councilor Catalina Perez highlighted the high level of participation with 35 of the 75 associations registered in the Hotel of Associations that in addition to the annual Fair facilitates active organizations in the municipality a physical space as headquarters, training, and a digital space.
Pérez also highlighted the thematic variety of associations that include fields such as humanitarian, social, sports, cultural, educational, and spiritual, among others, "that offer a wide range of possibilities for community action for the public".
Each association will have a stand from which they can present their work and inform attendees about its aims, objectives and work, in a day that serves as a common ground and rapprochement between associations as well as attracting people who may be interested in join the rich associative fabric existing in the municipality, explained the councilor.
The Coordinator of the Hotel of Associations and the Bank of Time, Natalia Conesa highlighted the program of activities that will not stop during the whole day after the opening ceremony that will take place at 11am.
Visitors can enjoy and even participate in the activities organized by the associations in their own stands, as well as on the stage, which will be enlivened by Antonio Hidalgo, or in the area set aside for the younger ones as well as in the sports area in which the squalos rugby club will propose rugby games with a skill contest.
