The family will be the objective of the third phase of the community participation program that on the use of social networks launched the Department of Social Services with the collaboration of Local Police of San Javier.
The program, focused on the socio-educational field, has already intervened in teachers and students, in its two previous phases.
Mothers and fathers can learn the dangers of an irresponsible use of social networks, listen to advice on their correct use and raise any concerns in any of the six talks offered by the local police officer, José Manuel Navarro, in different educational centers of the municipality from April 11 to May 8.
The police and expert in social networks, José Manuel Navarro has the mission in this initiative to raise awareness, mainly to young people and adolescents, about the danger and problems that can result from an inappropriate use of technologies, without forgetting the transcendental role that the family has in this regard.
According to the INE, 92.4 percent of children between 10 and 15 years old use the computer, and 95 percent connect to the Internet.
How to protect them from the risks they face on the internet, what ages are reasonable for the use of social networks or a mobile phone, will be issues to be solved in a talk that will also address bullying and cyberbullying.
The talks will begin on April 11 at 4:00 pm the school "Sacred Heart", and continue on the 16th at 5:00 pm in "Our Lady of Loreto";
the 24th at 9 o'clock in El Mirador, the 25th at 9 o'clock in "La Paz";
the 26th at 9am in "El Recuerdo", the 27th at 9am in the "Joaquín Carrión" and the May 8th in the "Fulgencio Ruiz".
The talks will be open to the public.
