More than 1100 students from schools in San Javier participate today in the II Healthy Week organized by the Department of Social Services and Sports "with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of prevention in health through routines and healthy habits", explained the mayor of Social Services and Sports, Estíbaliz Masegosa.
Masegosa visited today the sports center of San Javier where the first of the three days planned for the II Healthy Week was held as part of a larger project called Health Bank for Children and Adolescents in which teachers of educational centers participate , health center Health and municipal technicians with the common goal of improving the welfare conditions of children and youth of the municipality.
This morning, 530 3rd and 4th grade Primary School children from the schools "La Paz", "El Recuerdo", "Joaquín Carrión" "Sacred Heart" and "Severo Ochoa" took part, along with students from 1st of ESO Colegio "Sagrado Corazón" and "Ruiz de Alda" who dressed in white coats attended the Vital Signs Workshop.
A healthy lunch based on fruit, notions of first aid by Civil Protection, which has deployed a field hospital, and a circuit of sports activities completed today's program.
Tomorrow, Thursday, the activity moves to the Barnnuevo esplanade, in Santiago de la Ribera, starting at 09:30 am with the participation of the schools "Ntra. Sra. De Loreto", "Fulgencio Ruiz" and "El Mirador" and the IES "Mar Menor".
The II Healthy Week will arrive in La Manga del Mar Menor on Friday, April 13 with the participation of the CEIP "Mediterranean" and the IES "Las Salinas".
