The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo and Antonio Ramírez, representative of Sociedad Ibérica de Construcciones Eléctricas, SA (SICE) signed this morning the contract for maintenance, conservation and repair of public lighting and traffic lights of the municipality as well as the installation of temporary facilities for the various events held by the City of San Javier throughout the year, which has been awarded, through open procedure, to the aforementioned merchant for a total amount of 534,578 euros.
The contract, which has a duration of two years, renewable for two others, has been awarded in an open procedure without reaching the amount of bidding that amounted to 540,000 euros explained the councilor of Employment Maria Teresa Foncuberta present in the signing of the contract of which He stressed its importance "for the improvement it will bring to public lighting and road safety in our municipality."
Foncuberta added that this new service guarantees sufficient levels of lighting on public roads, parks, gardens, or spaces that host festivities, festivals, events such as Carnival, San Blas, nativity scenes and others, as well as the safety and proper functioning of the electrical installations.
The councilor also highlighted the improvement that will mean for road safety since it includes a continuous monitoring of the operation of traffic lights and their rapid repair in the event of possible incidents.
