Mayos, the Murcia tradition of songs to the Virgin coinciding with the arrival of the month of May, return to San Javier with the group of Mar Menor Choirs and Dances with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of San Javier.
On the afternoon of Monday, April 30, the chants and dances of Huertanos will begin to sound in different churches until May 1.
The tour will start at the church of San Javier at 6:30 pm and continue with a trip to Lo Pagán at 7:15 p.m., by the churches of Santiago de la Ribera at 8:15 p.m. and Pozo Aledo at 9:15 p.m.
The civic center of La Grajuela will arrive at 22:15 to continue through the temples of El Mirador at 23:15 and San Cayetano at 00: 15h.
The Councilor for Culture, David Martinez pointed out the importance of maintaining this type of traditions with the local group of Mar Menor Choirs and Dances, of which he recalled that he celebrates 50 years on an anniversary that will feature commemorative events among which the forthcoming Festival of Folklore that celebrates 30 editions.
