Posidonia oceanica is not an alga, it is a top plan adapted to the marine environment and has, like any other plant, roots, leaves, fruits and flowers.
Its leaves accumulate on the shore of many beaches in the Manga arribazones forming the so-called Posidonia, which indicate good water conservation.
Posidonia accumulation on the beach must be understood as a positive for the same, since this plant protects the beach from storms, and helps prevent the loss of sand and increase the plant communities of the dunes.
