The Plenum of the City of San Javier approved a proposal by the Popular Party which has received the affirmative vote of the Independent Group, referring to the reduction of IBI tax rate for next year.
Have been many complaints received from residents of the municipality, which have seen the bill this year has seen a spectacular rise, around 10%.
The socialist team submitted a proposal to Parliament that was supposed to further increase the tax payable.
The PP introduced an amendment which means reduced from 0.57 to 0.52 the tax rate applied to assessed values and will be a relief for families who do not have to pay more for home ownership.
The PP regrets the lack of sensitivity of the Socialist Party did not support the popular and favored proposal to further increase the tax burden of citizens in a difficult economic situation.
Fortunately the situation in the socialist minority of San Javier allowed take forward the proposal of the PP.
