The new Swim Club San Javier, emerged after the merger of two existing clubs so far in the county, was presented on Saturday December 18 at a huge gala held in municipal sports center of San Javier.
The more than eighty athletes of all ages and different categories that make up the club were wrapped by the mayor of San Javier, Pepa García, representatives of the Swimming Federation of Murcia, family and friends.
The new president of the Swim Club, Leonor Samper Villaescusa said "happiness to see us here together, swimmers, coaches and parents, after years of separation of the two swimming clubs in town."
Also, the mayor of San Javier, Pepa Garcia expressed his satisfaction at seeing how the sport of swimming in the city will from now on with the united efforts of a single club.
Leonor Samper thanked the cooperation of the General Air Academy whose pool was the site of one of the previous clubs, and now joins the municipal sports center to serve the new Swim Club will feature two swimming training.
