The crib monumental de San Javier known as "Bethlehem in Spain" for its size, with over 520 square meters that make it one of Europe's largest outdoor, received today the final touches by municipal workers during the last two weeks have worked to get everything ready tomorrow December 24, when incorporated after Midnight Mass Child.
The municipal Bethlehem first built in 1969 with an area of 130 square meters and about 125 figures, now houses more than 1,200 figures, Murcia manufacturing, many of them signed by the artisans and Jesus Serrano Griñán.
The crib is also characterized by more than 26 scenes with movement and landscape realism and detail, as the garden.
Beyond its size, Bethlehem, directed by José Antonio Garner, and every year receives thousands of visits, is particularly attractive because of the enormous amount of genre scenes that incorporates the entire representation of the life of Jesus, all of them regional character, such as pepper mill, trades like the espadrille, and many others.
