The Popular Party of San Javier asked in regular plenary session of January following the resignation of the Government Delegate in Murcia for not fulfilling the responsibilities of his office and failing to ensure the safety of members of the Government of the Region of Murcia.
The PP of San Javier believes that no government representative has fallen short of the circumstances to allow unauthorized demonstrations in which he insulted and attacked political offices of the Popular Party.
Nor did anything with the violent protesters who repeatedly have thrown eggs at the homes of President Ramón Luis Valcárcel and have made serious threats to their families and to the director who finally was brutally assaulted.
The PP of San Javier believes that when a political representative does abdicate its functions should resign as well and so requested by the Municipal Council.
As expected the socialist group do not support this request, but more surprising is that the Independent Panel sided with the socialist and also voted against, when not to act would have allowed to take the proposal forward.
Having rejected the application of PP calling for the resignation of González Tovar, all the civic groups agreed strongly condemn the brutal attack on the Minister of Culture, Pedro Alberto Cruz
